Robert A. Gough, Jr., Ph.D.
President and CEO
Dr. Gough is an economist with extensive experience in management, operations, and investment banking. He has been principally involved with Fortune 500 decision makers, both domestically and abroad, and national and international government policy makers focusing primarily on forecasting, growth strategies, and developing new investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
As a senior vice president at Data Resources Inc. (DRI), Dr. Gough worked directly for DRI's founder and President, in leading the team that designed DRI's econometric forecasting models.
He subsequently led several organizations in the field of business information services including being President and CEO of Corporate Broadcasting Network, a multimedia business information company, and President and CEO of Organizational Dynamics, Inc. an international management consulting company.
Dr. Gough has held senior consulting assignments with various international and federal organizations including the Office of the Chancellor of the Exchequer in England, The Japanese External Trade Organization, The Bundesbank, the US Department of Defense, and the Grace Commission. He has testified before various US House and Senate committees on US fiscal, monetary and budgetary policies. He has frequently appeared on nationally televised business and news programs including Lehrer News Hour, CBS Evening News, and the Today Show, has been a regular commentator on WBZ-TV, and has done many radio shows including NPR and WBZ to analyze and comment on topical economic and business issues. He has lectured frequently at leading colleges and universities including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Duke, UCLA, Berkeley and Wellesley where he taught Economics for ten years. He is also Professor of Economics and Management at the University of New Hampshire.
Dr. Gough is an alumnus of Bates College and received his Ph.D. from Duke University. He also has held or currently holds various community and board positions including the Council at the MFA Boston, the Business Leadership Committee at the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Board of Trustees at Bates College, and the Board of Advisors at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
